Default Corvette Photography *PICS*

Still have a lot to learn about car photography, but here's my first attempt. Went out yesterday for about an hour and came back with these. My 2K TR... Enjoy!

Cheated on the DOF. The DOF is created with Alien Skin Bokeh pluging using setting Canon EF 85 f1.2 Wish I had a lense that creamy. Both shot at f5.6 on a fixed 4.5 lens on tripod and off camera flash.

The first one:

[Image]
Make = Canon
Model = Canon EOS 40D
Orientation = top/left
X Resolution = 547
Y Resolution = 547
Resolution Unit = inch
Software = Adobe Photoshop CS4 Windows
Date Time = 2010-08-15 14:45:29
Exif IFD Pointer = Offset: 208

[Camera]
Exposure Time = 1/50"
F Number = F5.6
Exposure Program = Aperture priority
ISO Speed Ratings = 400
Exif Version = Version 2.21
Date Time Original = 2010-08-14 18:59:17
Date Time Digitized = 2010-08-14 18:59:17
Shutter Speed Value = 5.64 TV
Aperture Value = 4.97 AV
Exposure Bias Value = ±0EV
Max Aperture Value = F3.51
Subject Distance = Infinity
Metering Mode = Spot
Flash = Flash fired, compulsory flash mode
Focal Length = 30mm

I thought there was something a little strange about it!

Almost looks like the artificial tilt-shift effect.

spin the wheels so the spokes are both at the correct spot so the logos read right.

Yep, it will give it that tilt shift look sometimes. You can mess with it and make it less noticeable, but it was 1:00 am when I was photoshopping and I gave up. Just got the plugin and still learning it.

Thanks for the EXIF.. I was thinking " looks like miniatures"

Is this that miniature plug in... ? If so it is very cool...

I see that it is, I amswered my own question:

Simulating tilt-shift photography with the Bokeh plugin
by James Dempsey, Macworld.com

In last week’s blog entry on adding focus to your images with Bokeh, I showed you how you can use Alien Skin Software’s Bokeh plugin for Photoshop to draw attention to the subject of your photos by adding and adjusting out-of-focus areas of an image to enhance the subject matter.

Tilt-shift photography simulates the effect of turning your subject matter into a miniature model. You produce the effect through special camera lenses that adjust the image plane via camera movements when taking the photo.
