Tire Experts - need your help!
Just received my MRR GT5 wheels from Dennis at Double D Mods. 19x8.5 fronts and 19x9.5 rears - they look great. Now I need to select a tire size for them.
The stock C5 tires have a 1" diameter stagger front to rear. Was wondering which of the following would be the best choice to keep from having any problems with the ABS/Traction Control systems on the car:
Front: 245/35ZR19 and Rear: 275/35ZR19 (0.8" diameter stagger)
or
Front: 245/35ZR19 and Rear: 285/35ZR19 (1.1" diameter stagger)
I think that either set would work OK, but just wanted to confirm that with others that may have more knowledge than I do about this.
Any reason not to go with something wider on the front? I have 275's on an 8.5" rim, and have had no problems. I would say 265's would be better. As far as the original question I think option 2 would be better.

Follow this tire selection guide that I made up.
If you do it right you will be fine. Don't be one of the guys that choose wrong tire sizes and have active handling issues...
