I purchased my 01 Z06 back on July 31, 2009 with 42,000 miles. In September of 09 I had the Z repainted a much deeper black (Mercedes Black). Added the Vararam and C6 Z06 shifter assembly and factory C6 splash guards to protect the new paint (lots of dremel work to make them fit). I really like the look of the Good Year F1's so I picked up a nice set from a forum member. It did have Michelin Pilot's when I purchased. Now all I have to do is put some miles on it. I haven't put a thousand miles on it since purchasing. I have to say, I love the thing ...my wife keeps asking me who I'm saving it for..

Reading the messages in this thread is inspiring to me!
I have yet to own my first Vette (which will be a C5 Z06), but have been Vetts them all my life. I learned to drive in a 1971 350/330 red vert auto
. I have lucky to drive many different year cars as well. Ever since the C5 Z06 came out, I have wanted one. I am heading to Carlisle next week to check out the cars for sale there, and who knows... If I find the right car, I might be driving it home. Anyway, I hope to post up another message here that says... I am now a Corvette owner.

I bought my 2007 in 2006 I only have about 10,600 mi on it now.
I drive it to work on some saturdays if weather is good.
