I'd avoid it personally if I did it again. I've had this cricket noise that the brakes make since I've put them on. Everything checks out good yet it still makes the noise and their is also another thread from about a week or two ago where others talk about this issue. Brake performance has yet to respond to my situation.

Yeah they make an odd noise. I did some searching on other forums(BMW, Audi , and so on) and found out that alot of guys that have the dimple rotors from other companies have the same noise. I really think its the dimples that cause the noise.
Yep--I'm one of the cricket owners... (they make Lousy Pets!)... My research also revealed that this noise is somewhat common on ALL dimpled/slotted rotors--and even drilled-slotted ones.... (as written on various forums)...
The rotors are well made, look good, and stop well... But the noise......UGH!
The QC people at Brakeperformace were nice, but could only say that the "harmonics" of these rotors, and the inherent noise, was normal.... They did not make any suggestions (I had already done about all one can do)...
I'm gonna stay with these rotors for now... but next time: smooth rotors for me!

I just installed their dimpled rotors 2 weeks ago along with Hawk HPS pads. So far with about 300 miles on them I do not hear any noise and am pleased with the looks and the stopping power.
I have EBC Ultimax slotted rotors with Hawk HPS pads. The product info says that you can expect some "air noise" from the slots. They make a slight whirring noise in low speed stops. I don't mind it and they are great rotors - way better than the (IMO) crappy AC Delco drilled slotted rotors and ceramic pads I had on the car - horrible brake pulsation problems after few miles with little hard use.

I've had both their dimpled/slotted, and just put their drilled/slotted on, and can't recall any noises, don't know if it's because of my loud music , or pipes , but I have not had any noise problem from them. Each time, I've used GM ceramic pads with them. So far, so good.

Just for clarification purposes: the cricket-noise is only noticeable when 1) window(s) down; 2) driving in an area that reflects sound (adjacent to fence/wall, under an overpass, or next to another vehicle at slower speeds; and 3) the radio is off!
I have their Slotted rotors and run Hawk HP+ pads. No noise or issues with the rotos at all. The HP+ pads can get a little noisy though, as with any race pad.

I have had the same set up for about 6 weeks with no issues.
Well half of you say they suck and half say they are fine. I dont want any noise though. Ill be running the brake pads they give for free. Has anyone had a problem with them rusting. Im wondering how long the zinc will last.
I received them and upon inspection found that the left and right rotors are cut from completely different blanks on the fronts and rears. They have a different grove pattern around the edge of the hub and the fins inside the rotors are completely different design from left to right. I called and complaned. They verified that thats just how they come and offered me a $25 refund. Id like to see if anyone else has noticed this. I do get an air noise which is bothersome. They look nice for now but I have a feeling Ill wish I kept my money and resurfaced the stockers.
