So to clear up my mind. I have not registered and plan to go Thursday. For those of you that have gone, the way I understand it is that I have to stop at the gate day of, $14/day, and pay to get in, and that gets me into the event and parking in the Corvette parking?? If I want to get into the event AND be in the fun field area, that will cost me, now day of show $70 dollars and I can also get that at the gate day of?? Is all that about right??

TTT. Wondering this also.

There are two parking areas. One for the Vettes and one for daily drivers. I usually park in the daily driver area, but might take the Vette this year.

If you are going just for the day with the vette, park at gate #1. If you want to get into the Fun Field, it's gate #3 and you have to stop at the little building on the left before the gate to register and you are correct it's $70.00. Next year register earlier and you will save $10.00.

Thanks, for the info. I hear that the "general $14.00 admission is a pretty good walk away from the events. Any truth in that, and that the "fun field" is closer to everything. If I might have an install it might be better to be closer both for that and just generally.

honestly the general parking and fun field parking aren't that far apart. if you get there real early, you can get a good spot in the fun field, other wise, no big deal if going for more than one day, the fun field is the way to go. it's just easier and you get a goody bag.

Have my show field decal and I'm ready to go. I hope to leave out Wednesday about noon and spend the night with a fiend in Knoxville Tn. Then get up Thursday morning and complete the drive. Is there much going on on Thursday or do they mainly get started on Friday? First time I have went so was kinda wondering.

So I can drive thru Gate 1 & pay the $14 admission fee & park inside the fairgrounds instead of parking on the street. Can I also drive my car around in case I want to get it tuned while there.

Thanks

In the 7 years we've attended Carlisle... we have never driven a Corvette to the event (I'm sure there's some sorta law against doing that ).

We'll park on top of the hill in the general parking area;and we've never pre-registered.

Don't forget the two forum group photos and friday dinner:

I use to park in the campgrounds... it was right next to a walk-in gate. But that's no more

The past two years I've used the general parking gate that's at the north end of Cavalry Road.

You can park in General Corvette Parking for $14. If you decide to have an install done, go get your car and bring it down. No more fees to pay...

the website says event is august 27-29, friday to sunday, however the gates are open at 7 am thursday and friday. [?] i can only assume the gates are open thursday for vendors and not the general public.

Is that the parking lot up on the hill over by the Autocross track & if so is there plenty of parking there.
