Guys, my dear wife has given me the go ahead to get a set of new rear quarters (flared) for my FRC.
So now I have a new issue. I just can't justify the $ on new wheels and tires when I just got a set of 18/19 in December.
So, my question to you guys is simple: I have 305/19 Ace Slicks on the rear now. Will it look ridiculous to run spacers on my wheels for the short term until I decide what type of wheels I want to run?
TPE has bolt on "spacers", with 305's I'm not sure you would notice that you were using them.
Congrats on the new mod btw. Which flares are you going with?
I am not 100% certain quite yet. I now need to do my research/homework to figure out which I like the best. I am just hoping the set up I have now won't look ridiculous under flares. Ideally I would go with some 335or 345's out back, but budget doesn't allow for everything at once... TPE seems to have a nice package deal for fenders and spacers so I will probably go with them.. just need to see more pics.
Shouldnt be an issue. I wouldnt run more than a 1/4" spacer max. The further out it site on stud....the more stress is put on it. I assume you still have factory studs...
A adapter will look good. I run 325x19 with a 1/8 inch spacer
and it looks just fine. Good luck.
I thought I would show you my TPE fenders. They look good but
TPE had nothing to do with the end product. In fact they showed
poor customer service and accused me of lying!! Very poor form.
I hope if you buy from them that you have a better experience
then I did. Good luck.

I had some fitting issues that were resolved by Auto-Buffs but TPE stepped up to the plate for me....The end result of my experience with TPE was positive

I am glad that things worked out for you. It is refreshing to here
positve experiences.......
here's the pics with the exact wheel/flare combo you're asking about.
just don't go too agressive with the adapters or you'll look like this:
this car uses 2" adapters which ends up pushing out the wheels past the flares. a 1-1.25" adapter on these wheels would probably fit flush.
Question: what size wheels and tires do you have on the rear? Is the 2" adapters from tpe? I am hoping for a flush fit with 19x305, but hope that it doesnt look anorexic in the rear....

the car i posted is not mine. i run 345/30/19.
the other car's rears are most likely a 305/30/19.
i don't know which adapters he's running but the rears stick out too far.
it is not advised to go with adapters that wide if you do end getting a set!
