Im going to try and test drive it today. Not yet driven a LHD car so that will be an experience in itself. Its alot cheaper then the (few) other ones for sale so the money i save could be put towards changing the bumper.
Even if it needs work, it's in country already-that's usually the hard part over there. The outside stuff is just cosmetics and paint. Search for the thread on pulling the computer codes directly from the dash computer-write them down and let's see what shape it's really in.
I found in looking that people buy those headlights because of a crash. That would explane that ugly front bumper and lights. Aftermarket stuff is cheaper then OEM to replace. Just my .02 thats all. Check a carfax and see if anything has happened to the front of the car before you buy.
[QUOTE=SCM_Crash;1575101227]HAHA!!!! A Trans Am-ish wing on a C5!!! OMG what were they thinking?
OK... All laughing aside (when I stop laughing)... Front bumper fascia, headlights, and that stupid wing are all aftermarket. I know the euro fog lights on the back are a must in certain countries.
Up through the 2009 plates, I knew that 02 and 52 meant a car from 2002 generally. Does that still apply? Does J10 mean that the car's first UK registration was this year? If so, you might want to track down records from the country where the car was originally sold. If those aftermarket lights really have a US DOT Camaro sealed beam for the low/dipped beam, the car might not pass its MoT, either, without you tracking down some proper E-Code LHT lights (T85 code). There also looks to be something funny sticking out of the right side grille and stuck to the bumper and an aftermarket badge on the roof pillar. There's a lot about that car that looks worrisome.
Could live with the head lights,,,the front end fixed,,passable!! The WING,,,would HAVE to go!! All in all,,should be an easy fix for the wing,,front might be a bit more work!! Good luck!!!
