Where did you find a power source for an inline fuse under the hood? I am installing a trans. cooler with a fan and need to find a power source under the hood for the inline fuse. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated on this. Thanks, Tom
Is the fan on all the time with the ignition? A good option is to use the wires under the passenger side that are fused at the fuse block (read the bottom of the link below). You can then run a wire easily through the grommet by the battery and then whereever you need it.
Thanks to all for the input on this question. I ended up running a hot wire from the battery thru an inline fuse to the switch which is turned on and off by the temp. sending unit in the cooler. Thanks again.
If you want to keep it cleaner by the battery, you can also always just connect at the positive lug inside the underhood fuse panel box. Just be sure to torque it back down to spec.
