Found out "modern" oils are low in ZDDP,,and for flat tappet cam you either need an additive or run diesel oil!! Modern motors with roller cams are good to go,,any good quality synthetic far out performs the older oils!!
I use Mobil 1 5W 30 and an AC/Delco PF46 in my C5. My old Flat Tappet motor cars get Rotella 15W 40 and Wix filters. Wix also makes an excellent filter for the C5 as well.
