After installing kooks long tube headers my car makes a sound very similar to a typical exhaust leak however the headers are not leaking and the car runs very well, anyone experience this type of sound from long tube headers?

YES. In fact I've tightened mine 3 times now (installed in May). Just did them again yesterday. I've heard that the stock manifold quiets the sound of the LS1 motor, so maybe it's just the thinner pipes allowing more sound.

Did you use the header gaskets supplied by Kooks? We install a fair amount of Kooks, and we never use anything but the OEM GM header gaskets. They work the best.
