Doing some research and in 02, less then 25% of the convertibles had the Z51 handling package. Did all the Z06 cars come with Z51 and is it desireable in a vert? Does the Z51 package bring a better resale then a selective ride car?

I can't answer or give an opinion on the last question, but Z06s did not come with Z51. The Z06 had a specific suspension set up (unique bars, springs, dampers, etc).
I looked for quite a while for an '01 or '02 vert specifically w/6 speed and Z51 and couldn't find one that I liked, so I went another route.
It may be that Z51 versus selective ride doesn't make much of a resale difference, but one may be easier/faster to sell than the other. Not sure; just a thought.
As a generalization convertibles tend to be more about enjoying a beautiful day than going for maximum performance. Thus, many convertible buyers opt for the more compliant suspensions. The C5 has plenty of rigidity to handle the Z51 suspension just fine in the vert, but that is just not in demand as much.
The guy who wants the Z51 with the vert is likely to give a bit more for it because he knows it hard to get. However, IMHO there is probably a bigger market for verts without Z51.
z51 was the ultimate suspension(other than the z06) that Gm offered, it will go down as the one to have, I looked for 2yrs for a 6spd wz51 coupe. I actually have a friend looking pm the details of the car and your location,
Well,,Z51 is standard on my FRC. I find it to ride great,,and is a blast when stuffing it into an off ramp at highway speed!! The wife thinks this is one of the best traveling road cars we've ever had!! Nuff said IMO!!!
I have an 01 Z51 Vert now with Bilstein sports, C6 Z51 sways and lowered on stock bolts handles great and ride is complaint. If it was a daily driver I would not have lowered it as much other than that I am very pleased with the ride.
Cars with the Z51 option handle better than those without. Mine is a Z51. The replacement shocks for the selective ride option are extremely expensive. Check on the cost of those shocks before you opt for a selective ride vette.

This was a concern when I went looking for a car and the reason I bought the Z51. I am not sure of the life expectancy of the selective ride shocks but know they are not cheap. I had a Ford product with air ride several years ago and ended up swapping out the shocks, when they started leaking, to coil overs and that was expensive
