Although it's weird to refer myself as the 3rd person I need to announce my intentions to return! I bring nothing to the table, I will offer no real helpful device nor will I'll give intelligent feedback, I just miss this forum!
I moved from Hawaii to Los Angeles July 2009, I left my C5 back at home and purchased a Toyota Tacoma. After a year of not driving my C5, I returned home to visit my family. There she was, as beautiful as ever! So I'm back, I chose life - I choose to park as far away as possible, I choose to spend my hard earned cash on anything C5, and I choose to use my truck to drive so I don't put unneccesary mileage on my baby.

Welcome Home....
He'll be here all week folks, remember to tip your waitresses
The car is being shipped. I'm worried about them scratching up my baby!!
Make sure to check the mirrors as they tend to get knocked most often. A friend of mine had his 98 shipped from Chicago down to Florida and I was at his house when the transport company arrived. He was walking around the car when I noticed that the driver was standing in front of the passenger mirror and not moving. I then asked him to move and "what a surprise", there was a nice 2 inch gash on the mirror that the driver knew nothing about. Buddy snapped a pic, indicated the damage on the delivery receipt, got on the phone and received confirmation to cover the paint repair.

Thanks for the 411, I'll be examining every inch of my baby, I'll be on it like a hobo on a ham sandwich.
it's great to back, thanks for all the responses...first order of business...skid plates, I have a steep driveway!! then I'll put jacks under it and do some routine stuff...like look at it all day!
Just to ease your mind on shipping your car. My friend shipped his 98 T/A from Riverside, CA to FL. The guy in Riverside decided to take it out for doughnuts, no not the pastry kind, and local PD/Sheriff pulled him over. Well they attempted to anyways. He ran, over the curb, into yards, more curbs, etc. I think it was about 1 more broken wheel from being totaled. Wait, on second thought that probably doesn't ease your mind at all.
