You'll be fine. I think, without looking, that the 04's had some issues with lean codes. After the install take it for a trip and the car will relearn and compensate for the new airflow. Mine idled like crap at first but a nice spirited trip down I-95 and she purred like a kitten afterwards.

I installed the Vararam with the power duct (great product), plus I installed a Katech ported throttle and a new ported MAF sensor without the screen and haven't had any error codes. I will be taking it back to my tuner for another dyno tune just to make sure everything is OK.

Right now I guess I will just stick with the Vararam and I also want to upgrade the exhaust system from the headers all the way. Then I will mess with the MAF, etc....

These mods never ends

I just finished installing the rear C6Z06 shocks taking a break and will go knock out the front ones

If you've been reading the forum for years the consensus is about 50/50.
Great reports and an equal number of poor fitting, poor gas mileage, poor drivability, hydrolocking in rain, etc.

I wouldn't chance it. The stock filter is great and works fine all the time.

I agree with you....I will store my stock and if I get to the point of having problems I can always go back. The good thing the mode doesnt require altering anything

Count me on the favorable side. I installed my Vararam with Power Duct a couple of days ago. The Vararam itself installed fine. Had some issues installing the Power Duct, but got it installed after some fiddling. No codes and car has much better throttle response, especially above 3000 rpm. Not sure of fuel mileage yet, but am very impressed with the unit so far. NO quality isses with my unit.

For anyone that has the VARARAM POWER DUCT....Be sure to come by our shop (and this is FREE for all the Carlisle tune customers)

I'll re-tune the car as the POWERDUCT WORKS VERY WELL, but does require the tune to be on the money.....

Come on by and I'll set it up right for you.

I've installed the Vararam on my '02 Coupe and '08 Z06. The power increase is DEFINITELY noticeable. After the computer starts to 're-learn' with the Vararam on, it just keeps getting better.

I do have to admit and agree with the others, the C5 version looks a bit daft and is quite a task to install. It's worth it though! The C6 version is MUCH easier. The most difficult part on the C6 is cutting the shroud. The template didn't seem to agree with my tired mind at 7:00 am.

I've also installed the HyperTech Power Programmer on my '02 and the DiabloSport Trinity tuner on my '08 Z06 with good results (as far as my butt is concerned) in conjunction with the Vararam. Some people would argue the money spent on these items could have been better spent on cams or what not, but these are a lot easier to install for those of us who are not engine mechanics.

Does anyone know where I can get a system like this for my '93?? I know they were on the market a couple of years ago but I can't find them now.
