What Was Original 2002 Z06 Plug Wire Color?
There is a discussion on what was the color of the original OEM plug wires on 2002 Z06's. I think they were all black. Others are saying red. Need some original Z06 owners to weight in on this question. Thanks

Every crate engine I found on the internet for LS6's shows red wires.

OK... So that's interesting. Now I'm wondering why I have red wires. I know the original owners didn't do anything to my car. It was 100% stock other than the battery with just 19K on it and had never had a tune up. So, SOMEONE must have done it at some point and the original owners either didn't tell me or didn't know themselves.
Damn it... The things you don't find out until later down the road.

I think they changed them for the 03s. That'd make sense to me. I just can't see the original owners changing the plug wires. I guess it's something where you'd need to meet them to understand.

My brother-in-law's were red on his '04. (I still have pics from when his car was new.)
I bought my '04 used with less than 16K miles, but they were red when I bought the car. I was told that original owner had not changed the plugs and wires yet.
