If you haven't already bought them, don't bother. Waste of money.

zI wouldnt spend what they cost new, but theres a good member selling an almost new set for 1/2 price. I just need to know if they fit under the fuel rail covers.

They are not good for 1 single solitary horsepower. Only there for looks, so if you cover them up with frcs...

Look at the bright side; you only wasted half as much money as the original owner. I've paid full price for worthless stuff lots of times.

I have 82k miles on my Z. I figured it couldnt hurt to replace mine, so I figured why not? New stock ones are just about the same price anyway.....

Lot's of negative feedback on these...mostly premature failure. Go with the stockers IMO.

They work or they don't. It's not an item thats going to have diminishing performance. Replacing old ones with new ones will do nothing, and there's plenty of other useful upgrades you can spend your hard earned money on. If you haven't spent the $ already there's no need to.

Spend the money on a set of GMPP performance plug wires and new plugs from Gene Culley, and have money left over. That may actually make a slight difference.

Did I read somewhere that there is a stock truck coil that's better than our stock coils?

Are you certain that your current (pun intended) coils are a cause of diminished performance?

I didn't think the MSD coils were physically larger than the oem (?). They should fit under your covers. If you're doing it for performance, then you can already see the issue from the replies and probably won't get much positive input.

If you're doing it for appearance, you can paint your oem coils and get almost the same effect. KRYLON worked for me...

The MSD coils require a washer underneath the coil mounting bolt to give it enough clearance to fit the mounting rail.
