Default Z06 Heads

What are the differences, if any, between the 2001 and 2002 Z06 heads?

The LS6's aluminum cylinder heads are cast with pent-roof combustion chambers that are smaller than the LS1's. Compression ratio increases from 10.1:1 to 10.5:1, improving thermal efficiency and increasing horsepower. Intake and exhaust ports in the LS6 head are refined and more precisely cast, contributing to the engine's overall increase in volumetric efficiency. The 2002 heads have lighter valves and stronger springs.

Thanks for the info. In your sig I noticed your mention of Tony's.
Are they good in the tuning dept.? I don't know of anyone in our
area that has used them but I have seen the name mentioned
before. Thank again.

Tony is one of the best Corvette restoration shops in the country. He began doing work on C5s a couple of years ago, the percentage of his business working on late models continues to increase. He does superb work and is a good choice for almost any kind of job on your C5 but I wouldn't call him a tuner yet. In my mind a tuner neeeds their own dyno among other things. Tony has plans for a dyno but I'm not sure when.
