Security light

My 99 FRC has occasionally had the security light come on and stay on while driving. Also, and I don't know if it is related, the car will not start even though the lights and all electrical equipment seems to be working. Are these two problems related? Any suggestions on remedies?

This was happenig on my 98,spray the ignition swith with contact cleaner and cleaned both keys.Lots of black stuff came out.that was 1 month ago.No more lite/no start.
