has anyone gone with larger brakes in the rear only? i'm not ready to commit to 18 and 19 wheels, but would like to 'fill' the 18" rear wheels a little more. any one tried it yet?
Baer Eradispeed 2-piece front and rear on 18" magnesiums. Stock size fronts (12.8"), 14" rears. I also put in a heavier brake bias spring which allows for more rear braking force. The car does brake noticeably flatter (and shorter, of course) than before.

thanks. that's exactly what i was hoping to see. did you need to make any modifications or use any spacers?
honestly, that's more than i want to spend right now. but i appreciate the options. i have stock mag wheels and i'd like to fill the the rear wheel a little more. would i be able to go with larger rotors or would i have to buy all new everything for the rear? (sorry if that's a dumb question, i'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to brakes) and if i can fit just larger rotors, would i be better off just saving my money and buying the all new 'stuff' for the rear?
Are you only doing this for looks, because really you are going to lose some performance with it. You are not going to increase the brake bias to the rear by simply adding a rotor and you really want most of the bias on the front. What you are doing it increasing weight, not just weight but rotating weight which requires power to turn. It may all be neglable to a standpoint, but you are better off staying with what you have and saving up and buying a brake kit later the lighter rotors and better calipers.

by the way, i love your headlights!
No mods whatsoever to the brakes. The rear Eradispeeds come with the offset bracket needed. The fronts are direct bolt-on. The rear rotors are very close to the wheels, but no clearance problems. The weight of these brakes are supposed to be less than the stock ones because the hats are aluminum. Even if they end up the same weight as stock, more performance without weight gain is a good thing.
