I have a 12 cd changer in the trunk. As of late, it now sounds like I am in a bad reception area with lots of static. It happens with all the cd's not just a few.
Any suggestions or solutions?:o

Plug your iPod into the harness and forget about the changer..... ;-)
Had a similar problem but it would also freeze up sometimes too. I have another car with the same type changer. When I put cassette into other car there were no problems. Took the vette to dealership (still under extended warranty). They replaced it. You should know, a new DELCO 12-Disk changer costs nearly $1,000 from a GM dealer.
There is a place I'd recommend that might fix your problem for less than a new unit. You could contact them and ask. Google La Jolla Audio Repair. I recommend them because they do a lot of dealership warranty work and I have personal experience with their work.
Hi,
Thanks for the information on the cd changer. However, I have discovered that the static is also when I play the radio. So, the changer may not be the problem. Could it be wiring? Amplifier? The louder the volume, the louder the static.
Any input would be very helpful before I make an appointment to have it checked.
Thanks.

All the ground connections need to be checked. There is a module of grounds near the drivers headlamp and one in the rear of the right rear wheel well. These modules become corroded. In addition to all the other ground points need to be inspected and verified they are secure.
Hi,
Thanks for the pictures of the ground plugs, etc. Its good to know that they can cause a problem that way. I have had messages about "needing service" etc on a couple of things and they only appeared once. Also that my tires are low on air, which they arent.
However, in the last three times I have driven the car and played the cd's, the static is completely gone. I did nothing. My husband says maybe moisture got into something and is now gone,
That is strange because I usually dont drive it in the rain and its garaged the rest of the time.
So now that I have a "heads up" on yet another matter concerning a corvette, I have all you fellow vetters to thank.
