Just had a Honker installed on my '99 coupe. Nice work. I notice when turning the car off in my garage, I hear a "sssssss" sound for a few seconds coming from the engine compartment. It is not really noticeable outside but definitely in the confines of my garage. The hiss was not there before the Honker install. As far as I know, all connections appear in tact. Is this normal for an aftermarket CAI or should I it checked out? Any help will be appreciated.
I wouldn't think the Honker install would have anything to do with the noise your hearing.
You sure it's not condensation coming off the air conditioning system and dropping down on your hot pipes?

Can't recall ever hearing that kind of noise when I shut mine down either, '04 with Callaway Honker & DD Exhaust.
Gives me an excuse to get out and ride around a bit.
I'll get back to you...............

Pulled into the garage after about an hour or so, no hissing sound.
Might want to take it to the place you had do the install and let them check it out. Just to be on the safe side.
