Default Need wire to connect for lighted shift ****.

Bought a lighted Flameball shifter and want the light to come on with the first click of the headlight switch. Wonder if there is a source in the passenger footwell.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Closer source would be the traction control button plate... Pins 21 and 22 I think. If you don't have the schematics, let me know and I can look it up.

Don't have the schematics....yes, looking it up would be great.

Does that light only come on with the operating lights that I described?

TIA...Mike

Yep it's the lighting for the Traction Control Button... I'm pretty sure it's the orange and black leads on 21 and 22 but you better wait until someone else chimes or till I can get to the PC and check the schematics for you...

I'd suggest the tan dimmer wire on the harness for the climate control. its its connected to the interior lights and would allow your shift **** to dim with the factory dimmer.
the TC panel may dim also, I've actually never noticed before.

Yeah it dims as well and the harness runs right next to the shifter. It's the Orange wire (pin 10, Hot) and the Brown/White Stripe wire (pin 9, Ground)...

21 and 20 are for the driver's door controls, I do't know what the heck I was thinking!

So...with the shifter light needing one source, I should tap the orange wire?

Thanks.

Post up some pics, I'd like to see it lit up and how you wired it in if you can.
