The normal install of Fat Daddy's(drilling throught the frame) would be too high with an ACI or Tiger Shark front spoiler. Here is how I accomodated this problem. We welded a spacer to the frame but had to cut a bit off(we cut before we welded) so it was the same width as the frame. I painted it black so it would blend with the frame as well. I've only hit the Fat Daddy's about 5 times and all were in dips in parking lots. I did hit the Fat Daddy once at speed on a real road. I was going through a toll booth at 50mph but that was faster than I should have been going, which may be why the one looks bent. My clearance from the ground to the front of the ACI is 4" and it never scrapes. I do take all inclines at an extreme angle though. The last pic of the Fat Daddy shows how much the wheel hangs below the ACI.

Nice idea and good job! Wow! Those Fat Daddys sure took a lot of abuse for only being used 5 times. Proves again how much damage can occur without any type of protection.
I love the ACI spoiler/ground effects, however as a Floridian, I have given up on adding these type of mods. Although our roads are relatively flat, they design the side roads and parking lot entrances to sit lower than the main roads to promote the run off of the heavy summer rains. I've learned this over time and now know of certain restaurants, etc. that are not "Vette Friendly" when it comes to parking, etc.
Nice car and mods to the Fat Daddy's. What tire and wheel combo is that? I'm considering new wheels for mine..
The car is at my parents house since I live in the big city now. I can't remember the tire info but the wheels are 19/20" iForged Classics, brushed aluminum face with a polished aluminum lip. Very easy to keep clean and polishing the lips only takes 10 minutes. The face of the wheel looks like the new appliances and fixtures with the brush strokes in them, very cool. I'll be home again Wednesday so I'll check out the tire sidewalls then.
Thanks, guys. I think this was one of the best mods, other than the wheels and lowering the car. It totally protects the front spoiler and frame from any damage. I think more and more people like the ground effects/side skirts too since the ZR1 has them now. Some non vette people even thought it was a ZR1 at first, haha.
