Default LS7 clutch question

I am working on a low boost project over the winter, and will be doing the clutch and several maintenance items on my 99 frc.

I have an opportunity to purchase a ls7 clutch kit from a buddy who bought one for his abandoned GTO project.

Question is are the parts for the GTO the same for the C5?

I can pick it up ridiculously cheap, and it is brand new.

Yes. The LS7 will work for the LS1/LS6 crank. However, you must use the LS1/6 hydraulics. So buy the flywheel, clutch and PP as a set and you are good to go. Then just buy all the other stuff new from a forum vendor.

By the way, I had to loosen the bellhousing on my 2001 Z06 to get my new LS7 clutch kit in my car. Tried for about 15-30 minutes to get it in without doing that and it just wouldn't go. It is damn tight at the top of the bellhousing and the flywheel is soooo much bigger. Friggin' heavy too, but I do not regret the purchase.
