Im new to having my z06. Its been about three months now.I absolutely love it... When i bought it they said it had head work done and a cam. It has headers and full exhaust.I believe it has a small cam also.Im looking at the LINGENFILTER ported heads and cam. I was going to also install the FAST LSXR 102mm intake and fuel rails.I had my car dynoed and it layed down 411 with a tune....Wondering if anyone has this combo?????IF it would be worth the money????????? And a guess of the hp gains with this combo???????????? thanks everybody for there time......
i was also wondering what my bottom end is good to.I have been lookn at all types of different heads. Lingenfilter,AFR,Patriot, theres been a couple more. All the heads i been looking at have different stages. It would be nice to have my car between 480-550 on a stock bottom end....im just wondering is this goal realistic with a stock bottom end.and what type of heads everyone prefers or has run... with their results also....thanks guys.....cant wait to update my pics at the end of the week new rims and hood.....heck ya
i think they were around 1200. the patriots were the same price. westcoast corvettes also had a head and cam package they said was good to 120hp+ for 2500...i just dont know if my bottom end is good to that.......i guess i could run it tell it goes.....and then just have the bottom end forged haha...
Your bottom end can easily handle it. With the mods you're talking about, you'll be in the 430-440rwhp range if your current cam is a mild one - or 450-470rwhp range with a bigger cam

generally what are the bottom ends good to....with the right mods and tune?????? anyone know??????
If your going to swap heads you'll get better results with AFR 205s or or Trickflow 215s over ported stock heads that Lingenfelter or Patriot sell. They are better designed and produce more flow with smaller runners so you get more low end power and better top end power as well. A win win especially for a street driven car.
I know some of the fastest NA ls6 cars run the stock ported heads, but I would also look in to the Trick Flow 215's or AFR 205's. In the end, I couldn't justify heads on my ls6 making 435/405 with a cam and stock heads.

If you already have a head and cam package, you probably won;t get a whole lot more. You will spend a whole lot of money for not much more than you already have.

Best of luck.
It's really a crap shoot whether you'll actually get much improvement. I do know that the Lingenfelter name is worth at least 25 extra HP.

The +120 with that WCC heads/cam is a very optimistic estimate. The cam in that package is actually on the mild side(232/232 Duration, .575/.575 Lift, 112 ). And remember those advertised gains are probably best case when upgrading a base C5(ls1). Keep in mind a Z06 already starts with better flowing heads and cam than a base C5, so it will be less of an upgrade. And if you already have heads and cam...even smaller.
That package would probably put you in the 430-440RWHP range. If you already have 411.....it doesnt seem worth it. $2500 is a big chunk of money to only gain 19-30hp

ya maybe i should chill and wait awhile and spend all that money in other directions.i think ill try a fast intake and full rails. maybe some pullys and thermostat. see what i can get it to there. thanks eveyone for there advice...i was so mad. the rims place messed my order up and im waiting an extra week on my rims....bone heads!!!!!
if you plan on making more power, i would look into your drivetrain also. are you going to be street racing, spirited driving for fun, drag racing, etc. ? you might expect a clutch job and possibly some gears or built trans. i did the drivetrain first so i wouldnt have to worry about it later, like now, that im doing a head cam stock cube 6 speed build.
