Corvette Production Numbers
Interesting info, it might not stay here, but just a FYI.
Feel free to file the following in the “Facts to be Forgotten” round file.
Total number of 2010 Corvettes produced: 12,194
Coupes: 3,054
Grand Sport Coupes: 3,707
Convertibles: 1,003
Grand Sport Convertibles: 2,335
Z06: 518
ZR1: 1,577
Black Vettes were once again the most popular with Torch Red coming in second.
I've read those figures for the 2010's also. That means 1,513,151 (regular production)corvettes have been built at the end of the 2010 production. (yes, I'm keeping a running spread sheet).
The economy SUCKS right now,,,and toy purchases are the first thing to go!!! Big business keeps out sourcing production and services,,and then wonder "Why the market isn't picking up"?? Unemployed and under-employed folks don't buy much!!
It's a very good thing that the Vette is such an image ('halo') car for Chevy and GM -- or it's future would be in doubt. But if the low production numbers persist for years to come, the car could be dropped.
The C6 is a wonderful car, but damn, it's become very expensive. My 2004 coupe's MSRP was $50,500; the car features every option available then (including MN6 and mag ride). In the C6 world, a 50K coupe is a stripper. Wrong price at the wrong time.

Lower the damn prices already it's the only way to keep sales going until things get better.
