I have the F45 and was thinking about lowering it. I posted here asking if there would be any issues and the replies were No problem with the F45 lowered.

I did quite a bit of reading on this a few years ago. Some said the F45 might have issues with lowering. Well...on my ex-98 with F45, I fully lowered it (also cut bushings), and I never had any issues, except that the shocks got a lot firmer (the sensors will think the shocks are compressed, and cause them to firm up). I have the F45 again on my current 01, lowered it again with cut bushings. So far so good. I did extend the shocks a bit to prevent them becoming too firm this time.
Hope this helps

You can see on this pic how low cut bushings will make your Vette. There was a finger's width between ground and the front plastic bumper piece.

I have the F45 suspension and put Pfadt coil overs on my car last year. I also ordered their simulators, which apparently trick the computer. I've had no issues.

I lowered mine and like it until a shock started leaking, could have done this at the normal ride height and changed out all the shocks at 30k

Many Thanks to all for the speedy replies and should be lowering it before I put it away for the winter. Thanks again Danny DevilDog II where did you get the simulators from and was it hard to put them on ?

I believe Corvettegarage has them. Also, you don't need the simulators. A shop can simply tune the system out.

I got the simulators from Pfadt and they're very easy to install.

How do you extend the shocks as mentioned and what is meant by cutting the bushings?

Check my avatar....F45 lowered on stock bolts.....14 years, 25,000 miles, and still seems to be OK.

Forget the simulators.. Go to Radio shack and get the 10ohm 10watt resistors...Cheap fix
