c6 shifter question
I can't tell if that is the stock assembly, it appears to be straight up and down. I'd really like to have a C6 shifter ****, but I don't know if I also have to have the c6 shifter assembly as well. Can anyone shed some light on that?
Also, where is everyone buying these at, I haven't really seen a solid source for them.
If the shaft is threaded,and the **** screws on,it's a C5 shifter.
If the shaft is just round, with a flat area and a screwhole on one side,it's a C6,or an aftermarket shifter.
From the pics,it APPEARS that the shaft is too long to be a C6,and it also looks straight, without the "kink" that a C6 shifter has .
If you want a C6 ****,you're going to have to get a C6 shifter(comes with the ****)-I got one over a year ago,and it is worth every penny-the shifter just "fits" better, being 1" shorter, and having the slight bend in it.
The GM Partshouse is where I got mine,Gene is a great guy to deal with, and the prices ain't bad either.
Do a search for GM Partshouse, and you'll find his monthly specials, which usually include the C6 shifter.
