if you're talking about the oem one, look or feel right inside the back. at the far left and right, top and bottom there will be four hooks. it hangs open side up like a hammock.
it is nice to stick stuff in that you don't want sliding or rolling all around in the back.
also, my minivan doesn't have a cargo net. so there.

The cargo net comes with four T-shaped screw on attachment pieces (like those for the cargo shade on the hatch itself) that go up by each of the cargo lights (top of hatch area) and on the bottom of the cargo area on each side. If they are not there, you should be able to see where they attach. If you have the attachment pieces, just attach the loop on the net on the attachment pieces and the net stretches across the back of the hatch area. Pretty simple once you locate the attachment points. Sorry if this is hard to understand, but it's about the best I can describe it. If you really can't figure it out and would like a few pics, just PM me your e-mail address and I'll go out and snap a few pics for you.
Another comedian!!! A person gets on the boards for help and he has to deal with a wise a$$.
If you don't want to be part of the solution then go away and stop being part of the problem!!! Vette owners are a family that help each other as I have for others and many have done for me!
There are 4 hooks that are the holddown pins for the back left and right panels that have the rear lights attached into them ( at least they do on a C5 convertible). The hold downs have hooks for holding the cargo net.
Thanks Wascap. I figured out how to install the cargo net thanks to the photos, but now i noticed im missing one of those hooks. I'm hoping someone knows where i can get one.

Check on some of the other screws, Maybe someone use one in the front. On a coupe the net can also be mounted in the front part.
Are you using the cargo shade in your car? If not maybe you have a couple of the t-nuts on the hatch top.

I almost didn't click on this thread figuring the answer had probably already been given. I'm glad I did because I've owned my coupe for three years and did not know that. Thanks Mr. Bill
You might have to get this part at the dealer since it is somewhat unique. Shop different Chevy dealers if you can though - I just replaced a rear differential seal on mine and one dealer wanted a little over $50 for the part and the second I checked only wanted $27 and some change. Hope this helps and good luck finding the part!!
