New buffer!
Has anyone ever used the Adams products for polishing or removing swirl marks. If so, any tips would be appreciated.
Use foam, not wool pads and polishing compound instead of rubbing compound.
The wool/rubbing compound/sand paper works great but you can remove a lot of material really quickly especially if you catch an edge.
STAY AWAY FROM THE CREASES IN BODY PANELS, GAPS OR EDGES ALWAYS.
Buy the good products such as the 3M line or similar. There are great videos on youtube or can be bought that show you exactly how to do each step from cutting/buffing to removing runs, orange peel or just bringing out more of a deep shine.

Adam's has some instructional DVDs that might help you out. Give them a call and see if they can send them to you.

I use the Adams products and love them.
I will admit though, I believe the process is at least as important as the brand of the products used.
Follow their DVD and you'll be surprised how good the car will look..
Good Luck...

-wash with Dawn dish soap..... This will help get all the old wax off
-clay bar the whole car..... This will take all the contaminants out of the paint.
-Depending on how bad your swirls are start with fine machine polish with the white pad to see if that does it.. setting of a 3 or 4, if it does not get it try the swirl and haze remover with the orange pad once again setting about a 3 or 4. Test this out on a area of the car that is about 2 foot by 2 foot. Get your process down before you do the whole car.
-Finish up with Machine Super Wax on the black pad..... i like to follow that up with a very thin coat of Americana wax
It takes me about a week of working on a car every night after work to get it like i want it.
Very important to remember that if you dont have a good surface to work with i dont care how much you wax it you will never get the results you want. Make sure you take the time to do the clay bar process.
You can also check out all the Adams videos on their website and also learn alot on their Forum... didnt want to post links, not sure if that is a violation.
Dont forget.....
VRT for the tires
Invisible Undercarriage spray for the wheel wells
In and out spray for the trim
Carpet and Upholstry cleaner for the carpets
leather and upholstry cleaner for the interior
leather conditioner for the interior
Window cleaner
All purpose spray for the tires and wheels
Some good microfibers to keep the swirls away (not the autozone or Cosco towels... good ones)
Yes i have a Adams problem.....

Happy detailing

Also when you wash the next time after detailing it use the 2 bucket wash to help prevent any scratches
1. I really need to take the time to go over the car with the orange pad and swirl and haze remover in areas that i know have problems.
2. The car looks better after the polish is buffed off then it does when it has the super machine wax. Thinking about using the buttery wax as the finishing coat.
3. Claying makes the windows look great.
4. Over all it looks great and it was worth the 4 hours it took to rewash, clay, polish, wax and buff. The color is deeper and I think that if i hit it again with the swirl and haze remover and then polish, it will get all of the rest of the marks that are making the paint look less than prefect.
Will post pics tomorrow but have had a few to many "pops" to manage taking pics tonight and post them. Over all really happy with the Adams process.
