Default DIC Buttons

Two of the buttons for the DIC(Trip and Fuel i think) do not light up. Is there an easy fix without removing the whole dash board?

Contact JW Motoring, forum member tstar or even TheRadioFlyer. They all do a lot of work with LED lighting and they might be able to help you out.

To replace the lights you need to remove the IPC. There are many threads with instructions on how to do this, look for instructions on how to install the gauge bezels or for the LED install thread.

The basic process is remove the center console. Then the radio surround. Next is the knee bolster under the steering wheel. Then the mounting for the steering wheel needs to be loosened to drop it down a bit. Now the screws for the IPC can be removed and it pulled out. There is one connector on the back and if you have HUD there is one on top that need to be removed.

The lamps used for the DIC buttons are a Neo Wedge type 74. There are 3 base sizes in this, A, B and C. I don't recall which is the one used here. The LED install threads have info on which base type goes where.

Had the same problem but got lucky. I took off the rubber cover of the button and was able to jiggle the tiny bulb with a skinny cocktail straw and it lit! Guess the bulb was not seated right. You may want to try this before taking things apart.
