The skip shift thingy is easy and works great. But if you can afford the dough, get a programmer and give yourself the ability to adjust other parameters.
Definitely a big price difference, but I after I finally chose to get a Diablosport to reprogram the skip shift and also adjusted the fuel, I now get 8mpg better on the highway. And smoother acceleration.
Sorry, I know it's the programmer is kinda off topic, but it's what I did to eliminate the skip shift and love the added benefits.
