Looking at buying a 12 disc cd changer. My car did not have it as an option 2004 Coupe does it have the wiring alredy installed so when I buy I can plug and play. JB
It's possible, but unlikely. But it doesn't cost anything to investigate further.
Look in the rear hatch area in the center cubby hole. If the car originally was wired for it (or by a previous owner), you may find the open end of the harness or evidence of the brackets/studs. The harness ran from the passenger side foot well fuse panel, along the passenger side and into the rear compartment.

I went through this a while ago, You wil have to buy a harness that plugs into 2 plugs in the passenger footwell and run the harness to the rear of the car, You should not have to remove the radio as long as you are going factory changer.
I pulled all my changer stuff out and went a ipod hookup, That was so much better than the cd changer, No skipping and no cd's all over the car.
Something to think about.

Go the iPod route. It works of the CD controls on the factory system. More tunes and less hassles. My 12 disc holder is sitting in the garage somewhere and good ridence!
