Ok so I'm looking to put new meat on the C5 and so I find I'm running a bit of an off tire size setup. The vert is lowered an inch on the stock bolts, nothing too crazy. The tire size set up I run is the 255/40/17 in front and a 295/35/18 in the rear.
Turns out the tire selection for these size of tires is really limited. I had the Khumo Ecsta MX run flat which I really liked but of course Khumo doesn't make this tire in this size any longer. So my question is can I change the tire size a bit without affecting the stance of the car too much? what if I went to 45's in the front and 40's in the rear etc? Would I still have a similar stance look? Thanks for the advice in advance
so long as you maintain about 1 inch difference in tire diameter the stance should stay aprox the same ( we're talking within mm). the size of the new tires will probably me more noticable (to you, no one else will notice) in the way they fill the wheel arch.

Reality is that you can't really go to a much bigger tire than what you are already running, I think if you can find tires in the sizes you want, about all you're going to accomplish is make the sidewall taller.
Thanks for the info guys. It seems that if I go with a 285 rather than the 295 on the rear my options grow quite a bit. I think I'm going to go that route.
