Rear bumper cover question
Do the slits on either side of the rear bumper have any performance attributes or are they purely cosmetic?

I like to believe that they help with the airflow over the mufflers to assist in keeping them cooler. But, that may just be a figment of my imagination.

In a small way they may help undercar air flow, keeping pressure from building under the rear, couldnt hurt.

So I guess its running extra cool since I dont have those heavy mufflers in the way? Right?
Or is it running below optimum temperature and hurting my performance?

I just have straight pipes, dont have the money for turbos and personally prefer a NA motor to FI or the bottle.
