It looks like you have too much weight in the rear. Probably
does not handle very well.

Time to invest in some coil-overs! You will love the handling and the ability to dial-in the ride comfort to your taste. I have mine pretty soft for the street and the car still handles great and inspires confidence when driving fast

If you're going much lower than 1" beyond stock
OP- new shocks won't do a thing. You are sitting on the bumpstops, equivalent to solid pipes, putting stress on the spring when hitting a bump at higher speeds. Also, the lower you drop the spring, you could be hitting the inside of the rim on hard bumps- breaking the spring end.

was there impact from something that hit the leaf? possibly but i havent hit anything.
this thread is not about talking $hit about the front tires not being wide enough or the exhaust not being perfect. the damn tires are fine and the exhaust is funny looking because the car is slammed. this is a suspension/leaf thread lol
Again, before the leaf failed, the right side of the car sat lower than the left even tho the bolts were the same length. the tire was even angled out more compared to the left tire.
The car was lowered on stock bolts. then the bushings were cut to be lowered more. then longer bolts were bought for the back. a lot of ppl do this however i drive my car at racing events and it probably took a toll on the leaf. ppl i drove the car hard, hard enough were i placed enough force/stress on the leaf using stock shocks and lowered bolts. its a learning experience and advice to others who plan to do the same.

after further inspection, there is was no impact, there is no evidence of me running something over or something hitting it. the leaf looked like it buckled and folded in the middle. more precisely, it looked like it first fractured and then it snapped over time do to hard driving. The crack/break is not up and down not right in the middle. its of to the right some and at an angle, maybe a 15 or 20 deg angle.
