Can dash be Torch Red?

Can dash be Torch Red?

I love a red interior, especially like the early 50's Vettes. So can the stock everyday OEM dash be painted Torch Red or something that looks like it's gonna last and not fade?

Any interior can be dyed/painted and then have a protective coating applied. I know the OEM dash is either black or shale depending on the year/model.

Obviously, it would need to be removed, etc. for a full custom job. I could see perhaps a white convertible with this treatment, similar to the C1s.

Never seen it done though. Lead the way!!!

Man that would be ugly not to mention the glare would be INSANE.

I agree glare could be a problem if too shiny. Would be cool to maybe do a two tone in red with a matte red on the top and sort of a line at the fall of the dash to a protective clear shiny coat. Or just a cool matte red on the whole thing.

Just for everyone's reference here's a photo of a C1 red dash. You can see in this the drivers gauge section is gloss paint and the rest or more like a matte color. Works well I think.

Would be a heck of a job because the whole dash has to come out but lots of people have taken the dash out. I say go for it and be the first.

That would look pretty sharp in a white car but there needs to be more black, starting with the steering wheel and column, and the upper or lower door panels. I agree it's over the top the way it is.

Yea, I agree that I would paint it with PPG Flex n Flat to not have a glossy red dash. But it's doable....whoopieee!

you can do it yourself with winil spray from auto zone $6-$7

Les than a year ago on here someone had one that did all of it in red. It looked really bad with all that red. Ever one about said it looked like shi%...
