Default Painted Rear Bumper Section

earlier in the year i was rear ended by an old lady and it scuffed up the bumper, never got it fixed and figured id eventually do this....

i used electrical tape to make the proper curves and began sanding, there were 2 dimples from the other cars license plate bolts

all cleaned off ready for more taping

all taped off and covered up

during paint, i used 2 coats of rustoleum black primer, then 2 coats of rustoleum flat black

all done!

-electrical tape, or even a think pinstripe, something thatll curve with the bumper lines
-painters tape, newspaper, tarps etc...
-sand paper, i think i used 200 grit, just enough to rough up the old clear coat
-1 can of black primer, i used rustoleum
-1 can of flat black rustoleum paint, i bought 2 cans incase, only used one

use the paint exactly as instructed and u wont have any problems

took about 3 hours including a trip to the hardware store for supplies

to the guy that asked what was needed. I'd highly rec against 200 grit sand paper. It may turn out ok but it is waaaayy more aggressive than you need. Use like 600-1000 ... get it from ACE..Home Depot and Lowes most likely won't have it.

I used a green scotch brite pad and bumper paint. I can add pics if you need.
