Default Help me build the ultimate c5

As I've mentioned in my "name my corvette" thread, I am a writer. My character is a retired Force Recon Marine that works for a covert agency and he has a 2001 c5 silver metallic convertible z51 (cause that what I have). Anyway he has an unlimited budget but the car must look stock.(less attention that way) It must be a believable car. In other words, real world mods. What kind of motor, suspension, etc. will make this a super spy car. Give me your best ideas.

a flux capacitor and HD muffler bearings. I like the twin supercharger idea too. maybe a quad turbo W16 engine from the Bugatti.

OK OK real world mods...

As a writer I would think some extensive research has been done as a good writer will be knowledgeable in his topics... right

How vague can you be? Lets see were talking C5... so many routes you can take...

C5/6R engine swap, LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7, LS9, supercharged, forged internals, twin turbocharged, nitrous, bored, stroked, cammed, roll caged, coil overs, intake, exhaust...

Not really sure what you're asking. Whats the ULTIMATE sleeper C5? Flat black, lowered, blacked out, wide bodied, with a built LS3 twin turbo.

Hmmm, I'd be a fan of a crazy high revving car blasting by at ohhhhh 10,000+rpm to catch a bad guy. Maybe a 340cid (4.25x3.00" bore/stroke) twin turbo beast with a crazy 500hp fogger NOS system. hehehe, not real to life, but its a story, right? Of course a spy wouldn't have turbos like some gay Paul Walker wannabe, there would be a big @ss super charger strapped to that motor.

Oh, and I like the flux capacitor idea too

I like this. Vague is the best way to brainstorm. Everyone throwing ideas into the pot is fun. zr1's ls9 motor sounds good but I think a twin-turbo Lingenfelter might trump it. Thanks keep em comm'n

High Def, they're much more detailed than the OEM's.

A tough-guy Covert agent just doesn't fit driving a Vert unless he wears tuxedos and has a British accent.

He needs a Satin painted, murdered Z06.

Well you might need a vert if your passenger needs to get airlifted to a helicopter while you're doing 160 on the interstate. Might even have to slow down for some helicopters I guess. (More research needed)

Nitrous and parachute are the only spy-like things I've seen on a C5. Well... there are always lambo doors. lol

Nitrous purge routed into the bottom of the passenger seat! To cause testicular frost bite on the guy holding the gun on you.

The flux capacitor will have to be coupled with a real time phase inverter, then run thru a molecular transcriptor to allow the car to morph into whatever is appropriate for the situation. I think you will need a C6 ecm, the C5s' brain box hasn't got the capacity. Oh and cell phone reception may become troublesome when putting full power thru this system. anywho sounds like fun

Have the character wreck the C5 getting away from a jealous husband and then it gets replaced with a new ZR1.

Or have the C5 get repo'd while on a stake out.

Whatever you do, make sure the character has a glove box full of rubbers and scotch guarded seats to resist the peter tracks.
