Default Hood seperation any one else

Removed my hood insulator & had underhood air brushed. I have only driven car about 2-3000 miles. About a 18" by 24" section of the hood is sperating. Its not the air brush work coming off. The hood is seperating! Any body else hear of or have this problem.

Never heard of that, but it seems the insulator was there for a reason.

You stated that you removed the hood "insulation"! What did you think it was there for???

Even with the hood insulator removed, it's not common for the hood to separate like he mentions. I ran a Motor City Mold hood for many years with no insulator installed and never had any separation issues.

I'm not saying that the lack of the insulator didn't cause the problem, but just never have heard of it happening.

I have seen many hoods with insulator removed and air brushed. The area above the fan is all blistered & seperating.
