Ihave a 99 with the dual zone. The other morning the temperature setting would only go between 66 and 69 degrees. Then ther were times when you cold not turn the system off even though the off button was pressed repeatedly. Is this an indication that the whole control unit needs to be replaced? Is there anyone that repairs the units?
Mine started doing the same thing about 8 months ago, ended up replacing it with one from Corvette Recycling for $200.00.
I did pull mine apart before I gave up on it,and checked all the solder joints(and there's a crapload of 'em)but didn't find anything.
Mine would still work, but you really had to fiddle with it to get it to do anything.
It would turn "on" just fine, but to get it to turn "off" , I had to hold the on-off button down and turn the temp setting **** at the same time-something you might try till you can get it replaced.
You might try doing a search-there are a few other things to check before you can be sure it's the control, but it sure sounds like it's gone south on you...
