Hankook v12's 305/19's in front and 445's in the rear (i wonder if that size really exists)

305/19's in rear actually in case anyone actually cares.

I recently spoke with someone from the TireRack in regard to replacing my PS2's. As he stated it, the PS2's have been considered the benchmark for several years now, but other brands have caught up. Conti DW's were one he considered to be a good match and he also mentioned the Bridgestone RE760's to be a good choice. In my own research I've read great reviews on the Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas, especially in Europe where they are much more well known. Their performance is supposed to be excellent and I'm surprised they are not better known of in the U.S. Pricewise, they are about half the price of Michelins. As soon as I make up my own mind I'll be buying a set of tires. I can't decide between the three I mentioned and I'm also thinking of the Nitto Invo's. I have 18" wheels front and rear which also affects my choice because of available sizes. Leaning towards those Sessantas. Anybody with more experience on some of these tires?

BTW, I'm on my second set of PS2's and that's why I'm looking for something a little less expensive.

I was told 335/30r18 hoosier was a good tire for stock z06 sizes.

Toyo T1Rs. Stock sizes. They're a lot better than a lot of tires I've ran before. Certainly better than the Nitto 555s. But I haven't run the NT-05s on the Z so I don't know if they're better than those. I don't think they are from comparing my track times to my friend's track times.

But for a daily driver tire with a little tracking and lots of spirited driving, the T1Rs handle better than my expectations.

I run Nitto NT-01's on the street. Great tire for twisties hammering and straightline traction.

Thanks for all the input guys.

Decided to try the Bridgestone Potenza Sports. Getting them for around $850-ish installed. The Conti's where around $1200, PS2's much more. Called two places about Nittos and Kuhmos and they never called me back.

Going on today around lunch time. Will let you know what I think. Car currently has the OEM Goodyears that are 8 years old and my ECBM just went so I have no TCS - so I'll get a real good idea as to how they grip.

Just had the Potenzas installed. Now granted I have only driven about 8 miles on them in near perfect conditions (70 and sunny) and I am comparing them to 8 year old OEMs, but I like them. Quieter, ride nicer, and handle great. I'll report back when driving conditions are less favorable.

Any idea how long these tires will last driving up and down a canyon like a maniac daily.
I do about 360 miles a week, probably more. 1/2 is canyon into country road, then freeway, to city traffic hell.

I got a bit over 30K miles on my KDW's but my cummute has doubled each year for the last 3 years. I dont know if that is a decent tire, but they were there to fit on my 19/20 HRE's. I am going back to stock wheels since I want more performance over looks, and those stock wheels can take a wider tire then my HRE's

My car is lowered, street performance alignment, and corner balanced. Will I need new Continental tires in 6 months?

I recently bought the Bridgestones for my daily driver Z. So far so good, but will have to wait for cold weather to see how they do.

I run Nitto NT555 all around. Those 200 treadwear tires only last me 3 months tops so I switched to these, which last me about 10 months.

So a 305/35 or a 315/30 would both fit the stock c5z wheels with no issues correct? It's just a matter of finding the tire you want. Tires are confusing me today

A 315/30/18 tire is way shorter than stock. Nitto makes a 305/35/18 which is a better choice.

Thanks Russ. What is the name of the tire and is it a drag radial or a street tire? I'm confused as to which to get. Some day DR's on the street are fine but I drive my car long distance sometimes and worry about getting trapped in a few rain storms. Maybe a good nitto street tire is a better choice.

I have Toyo tires on my truck and have been happy with them so I am thinking about maybe the Toyo R888 tires front and rear...suppose to also have wet traction.

I heard the BFG KD2 are really good all around tires. Anyone know if they have them in c5 z06 sizes or slightly bigger but would fit without any issues?
