So I have a friend who works for a local tire shop here in town. He picked up my Vette to get s set of Good Year F1 All Season. Reason we are starting winter and it tends to rain more often than not during that season here in AZ. He brought it back gave him the money and took off to Phoenix.
On the way there the car started to pull hard left. I really didn't know what to think because the tires are new, they get balanced and to think I had a flat well didn't cross my mind. I was on my way to one of my old team members B-day party so I didn't stop I was running a late.
The next morning, fairly hung over, I looked at my DS front tire and its flat. I thought I was hallucinating cause my head was pounding so hard. Flat to the point that it didn't register air pressure. I drove the car to the gas station about a 1/4 of a mile away filled up and drove back to where I live. It is easily a 140+ mile trip one way where I reached 100+ mph speeds at times and the tire held up beautifully on the way to my buddies house.
Not only do I think I was lucky but it goes to the point that the Goodyear makes an excellently engineered tire and they have a new fan on board with great respect for the product.
I'm confused. Did you get a flat tire, a tire which is clearly stated that it will get to a repair shop at 50 MPH at 100 miles range, and you decided to drive at 100+ on a flat tire? Why is that such an accomplishment ?

Not sure I would have drove that distance or at that speed if I felt something wrong with the car, but good that you are pleased with the performance of the tires.
Driving 100+mph with a car pulling hard to one side indicates poor judgement.
Thankfully you made it safe. Did TPS sensors not indicate flat? Im sure there are reasons for not stopping plus you were late but Im sure these tires can handle more then the recommendations. Guessing you got a deal on them cause of your friend.
I'd pull the tire and have it checked out. I did something similar when I was young and dumb(er), the inside of the tire was completely shredded, there was a nice pile of shredded rubber when I pulled the tire off. It had to be replaced, as I'm sure yours will need to be too (I only drove a few miles on my flat). It might look fine on the outside but it's almost certainly toast. Especially driving it when you knew it had 0 air pressure. Even 1/4 mile...that's just insane with no air pressure. I can't believe it didn't break the bead or damage the wheel. Don't have an air compressor at home, even a cheap 12v? Ugh.
Hopefully the tire shop will do something for you, maybe they didn't fill up the tire or had a faulty valve in it that let the air out (this is what happened to me). It would suck to have to buy another tire that fast.
I agree your tire is toast, look inside it (which is what any good tire shop would do when fixing a flat). In fact you should both plug AND patch these tires when you get a puncture.
Sorry but this thread is dumb... What were you thinking... Glad you didn't kill anyone including yourself. Who really cares about the tire at this point.
