I have read a lot of threads on the forum that address what many call wandering of their cars. I wanted to share my my experience and see if it helps anyone.
I purchased my car knowing it needed some work. I noticed having to keep both hands on the wheel to keep the car from jumping lanes on me at times.
1st. The old factory end links were worn completely out. I replaced them with the metal Z06 end links. It helped a little.
2nd. The tires were bald. I replace the tires. This helped even more
3rd. I replaced the sway bar bushings with some good urathane bushings. Maybe / maybe not helped. No big change
4th. Got an alignment done. Helped some..
5th. Put some Bilstien heavy duty shocks on. HUGE difference. I've heard a lot about good shocks but I was amazed how much difference shocks made. The rears were replaced first. They made an amazing difference. The fronts eliminated any drift. I was amazed. I can drive down the same highway where I used to have a death grip on the wheel and now hold the wheel with my left finger and thumb. Simply amazed. I suppose the moral to the story is: Maintain your car and use good parts. Hope this helps someone.
For me replacing the runflats with (non) runflats made the complete difference, my car was scary to drive on the rutted so cal freeways, it felt like the car just wanted to jerk into the next lane then back again.
I noticed a big increase in the car wanting to wander after new rear tires.I never really noticed it before. Actually scared me on the way home from the tire store. The car has 177,000 miles on it. I had already put on the metal endlinks and new bushings with the Z06 sway bars. I added lightly used Z51 shocks. That made a big improvement! I guess I need to I should look at the tie rod ends. Especially with the milage I'm at.
How hard is it to adjust the steering rack? any links to this and or changing tie rods ends?

Do you have the magnetic ride control with the accompanying shocks? cause i do and those shocks are $3000.00 for the set! i think i would hav eto sell the car th eold lady would **** if i spent that much on shocks when we spent less than that on her daughters high school graduation car!.
MSR shocks are good for over 100K miles. The biggest reason for "tram-lining", is bad tires! After what you said, that seems to be the biggest contributor for a better driving experience. It was for me and many others here.
