Is the C5 rearview mirror the same for all models; i.e. Coupe, Vert and FRC/Z06? The reason I'm asking is that my vert mirror has "dome" or map lights underneath that go on automatically whenever I open the door and I was wondering if the C5s with roofs have a different interior lighting setup.
I'm considering a Homelink mirror and was wondering if I would lose those lights underneath that automatically come on whenever I open the door. The website asks for the year/style which is prompting my question.
Just to give you another option to consider. I looked into the rearview mirror homelink option and ended up going with the visor instead. Much quicker and easier. Here is a link to my original post:

All of the mirrors, with the exception of the auto dimming mirror are the same for all of the body styles. All of them have the lights under the mirror.

The HomeLink sun visor transmitter “implant” is the easiest, most cost effective way to go… and the HomeLink sun visor installed module’s transmitter’s range is stronger too, which will enable you to active your community’s front gate or garage doors from a greater distance.
I don’t know if the rear view mirror’s HomeLink transmitter’s signal is as strong… nor was I able to locate a HomeLink rear view mirror with the transmitter and the two map lights underneath, which I like.
So, to answer your question: I had considered a HomeLink rear view mirror install until I couldn’t locate one with the two map lights… I went the sun visor / HomeLink route and never looked back.

Good luck with your choice.

Thanks. That's absolutely the type of feedback I was looking for. The Homelink mirrors are pretty cool as some of them other options including rear camera screens, however I plan to add a DD NAV anyway and I could use that screen instead.
My primary concern was losing the two lights underneath the mirror and it sounds as if I will if I go with the Homelink mirror.
Since my OEM mirror has the autodim feature, I also want to hardwire a new radar detector in as well so I think I will investigate the visor option. As part of my interior makeover I'm planning this winter, I plan to get some leather covers for my visors so I will check into that option.
