Default 'Vettes and Tickets

I heard a news item that gave the number of tickets according to car brand. I just heard a part of it and have been trying to find the article but with no luck. Since I've always assumed that a 'Vette is a ticket magnet, I was interested. Anybody?

Only ticket I have gotten in 2 years of owning mine is for no front plate (knock on wood). P*ssed me off even more about that because I was hit by a drunk driver, he was at fault and arrested but the officer said "Sucks you got hit, but you should have a front plate." I wouldn't care if I got pulled over and ticketed for it because I know what I am doing is not legal, but talk about kicking a guy while he's down.

I hardly ever see a Vette pulled over. In the 18 months that I have had my car, haven't seen it at all.

Pumping gas one day and a cop pulled into the station to get something to drink. He came out and looked at me and the car, put his drink in his car and came out with his ticket book and wrote me up for no front plate. All while I was still pumping. When he approched me I thought he was going to chat with me about the car, boy was I wrong, he turned out to be a real jerk off. Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time!

The color/manufacturer/model of your car is not relevant to being pulled over. At least not in my 26+ years experience.

Acting foolish certainly plays a part...

idk about that...up until i bought my vette (had a z28 and 2 mustangs) and i was pulled over 26 times...never once was written a ticket. at least half of those i was asked permission to search the vehicle. after nothing was ever found, they either said it sounded like i accelerated quickly, suspicious driving, tint, noise, and various other things. I am 24 and haven't gotten a speeding ticket (only a no license plate ticket), and am a good driver so obviously something besides bad driving is relevant. That being said I know quite a few cops in my area and they will be the first ones to tell you there are "things" they look for, even if violations aren't there.

You know, back when I had F-Bodies I was a ticket magnet. In my younger days I was always one ticket from losing my license. In years of driving a vette, even heavily modified(loud exhaust, high power), I've never even been pulled over. Maybe I've just gotten older and wiser
