I tried to get the front raised a little and have no luck. I ran the adjustment screw both ways and it still sits low. I followed the procedures on this site and still no luck. I purchased the car with it lowered and wondering if the previous owner replaced the stock with modified parts. I just can't get it up!!!
Any advice would be appreciated. Russ
Did you jack up the Car and Relieve the Pressure off the Springs?
If not, You're not going to be able to make an adjustment. You'll most likely just bind the rubber pads at the end of the Adjustment Bolts and only get a turn or two on them..
Be careful that you're not also turning the sleeve that's in the spring. Spray some PB Blaster around the bolt and let it set overnight. Like slvrzo6 says, make sure that you've also got the pressure off the springs, but it may take more than just jacking up the car.
I did take the pressure off the spring and was able to run the adjustment bolt all the way up and down with no change to the height. Is there suppose to be a bushing between the adjustment bolt and the spring?
sounds like previous owner either installed c6 bolts, aftermarket zip type bolts, or cut the bushings. Either way it should raise the front ride height if you turn the adjustments bolts clockwise as you look at it from the top. There should be a pad at the end of the bolt that contacts the lower A-arm. if it is a cut bushing it will be a plastic flat piece sort of glued to a metal pad. If it's a C6 bolt or a Zip type then it will be a plastic cover that fits over the welded on plate. In any case there should be some sort of flat portion that comes in contact with the A-arm. if not i would say yank those out and install the proper hardware. It's not that hard of a job to do.
Here's what the zip bolts look like and comes in a kit.
