I went to the annual Dimmitt Chevrolet Corvette show put on by the Bay Are Corvette Club yesterday. This is my forth year attending and Bay Area always does a top notch job. Here are a bunch of pictures for yesterday. I am sorry for some of the shots as they are a little grainy. I had the camera on the wrong setting (getting old).
These first few pictures are of my '01 coupe. I was surprised to hear my name called for the second place award in the custom class. There were some great looking cars in that class. A special thanks to Pat at American Hydrocarbons for the engine bay pieces. I did receive a lot of comments on them.
Here are some more pictures of the overall show.
Now here is something that you don't see to often at a Corvette Show, three Ferrari's stopped by. The matching red ones belong to a husband and wife and I under stand the also have a new ZR1. Must be a tough life.

Very nice! Thanks for sharing. I was hoping to make it to the show with some club members, however I had a date with my lawn/landscaping.
What defined their "custom class"? Your C5 looks pretty stock.
They have a points system for modification to the body as well as engine bay. I have an SLP rear spoiler and an ACI front splitter along with C6 Z06 wheels. Then my engine bay is totally dressed with carbon fiber, painted FRC's and tank covers.
Thanks, but they could have been a little better had I not selected the wrong setting on the camera. I use this camera all the time, so I am not sure how I did that.
Hi There TR,
Nice shots. You have a great looking t/r 01 just like mine except for the engine compartment.(mine is all black except for the fr covers & catch can).Congratulations on the 2nd place trophy.
