Default Car Covers

Seems like when I use my cover i'm getting small scratches. Car is dark blue, is it worth it to use it? Opinions please, thanks.

Indoors, no I don't think it's worth it. Unless the car is clean when you put the cover on all it will do is sand whatever dirt and grim still on your car into the paint. After a while you paint job gets that "shop worn" look. Persoanally I think they do more harm than good. Just my humble opinoin.

Is it outdoors?

Mine is not a daily driver and gets parked outdoors, so when I put it undercover;

1) It gets washed first. Dirt will act like sandpaper under the cover.

2) I snug the cover down so it doesn't blow in the wind. Any cover movement (ie: flapping in the wind) will cause scratches.

3) I bought an excellent cover ( CoverKing "Autobody armor", excellent cover but not cheap)

If it's a daily driver and you're gonna throw the cover over it each night, I believe the cover may do more harm than good....

Good Luck....

I use it at work only. Its a good cover but I think I'm going to leave it off.

As others stated, only put the Cover on a clean car. I use the California Car Duster before I put the Cover on after every drive. If it got more dirty then just some Road Dust, I wash it. Most of the time, just Dust and Cover. No scratches and the car sits outside.
