[Z06] engine knocks

engine knocks
hello everybody, i would like to know if this is normal for a z06. Whenever i would turn off the engine, without pressing the clutch pedal, the engine would make a knocking/clanging sound till it turns off
. But with the clutch press on and turn off the engine.... no sound whatsoever..... the dealer told me that it's normal for corvettes to do this.... is this true...
