Default Stock Ti Vs Corsa

I need opinions!!!

Ok, so I've had a few set up's on my 02 z06. I've had borla stingers cat back only which sounded nice but drony, I added long tube headers, hi flow cats and x pipe along with the stingers and wow was that loud, idle acceleration and WOT. Although it sounded really good it was too loud and drony inside the cabin. I now have the long tubes hi flow cats,x-pipe and Stock TI z06 cat back. The sound is deep and aggressive but too quiet for me. I've been looking at buying the Corsa touring or the Corsa pace car cat back. From what I've read both are deadly quiet inside the cabin with non resonance at all, the only difference is the loudness the more you put your foot into it. I think I'm going to go with the Corsa touring, I just want to make sure it'll be louder then the stock TI before spending the $$$, some ppl say you can barley tell a difference between the touring and the Stock TI. The main point of this paragraph (lol) is i want something louder then the stock TI and quieter then the stingers and i don't want any drone inside the cabin. I'm looking for quiet at cruise and loud at WOT. Help!!!!

I think the touring would sound real close to the TI, better go pace car. I had them on my 2000 and they sounded good. No drone at all.

Yes, they don't drone, but they'll be very loud everywhere but at cruise. Not quite as loud as Stingers, but much louder than Ti. Have you heard soundclips of your setup with a Ti bypass mod? Still keeps the drone away, but pumps up the sound noticeably. Also, GHL makes a great sounding system that's w/o drone, but deeper tone than the Pace Cars.

the bypass mod would be the way to go. however, concerning the Corsa pace cars being loud - i disagree. i have stock cats, not high flow, but my pace car setup is not loud at anything other than WOT. i wish it were louder. thats why im getting high flow cats. i think you will definanately want the pace-cars. i think the touring will be too quiet for you.

I just picked up some Corsa Extremes. Should be delivered today, I can't wait! Based on all the you tube videos and testimonials, I think I'm going to be very happy with them.

If you have LT's go with the Touring I was in the same boat and had a customer who wanted the Pace and I was unsure so I ordered one of each. Luckily that I did, you'll be amazed at the Tourings Super aggresive when in the pedal and whisper quite at cruising! I think the Pace would have been just like my Bullets to loud and drony. GL

You might be right that with your setup, the Corsa Pace car model is NOT loud, but I assure you, that with mine, it's very loud. H/C, HF cats, LTs, and X pipe give the Pace cars all it needs to be heard from 100s of feet away. The only time they're not obnoxious, is when cruising, with no load. It's a sweet sound, but kinda high pitched compared to the Magnaflow cats I had before. That's a system (Magnaflow) that fits your description pretty well, and is a real deep tone that I prefer. They have a small amount of resonance at 15-1700 rpms that's not too intrusive, but more than a Corsa system has. I think if you have the full boat of bolt-on plus H/C, you'll be satisfied with a bypassed factory Ti catback.

Put a couple thousand miles of road course wide open throttle driving on the car. That will make the Ti's louder. By the way you really can't tell how they sound unless you hear the car go by you at WOT. Inside the car you just don't hear things the same way as an outside observer. Those Ti's will bark at WOT.

I have Melrose long tube headers, Random Technology Hi flow cats and x-pipe, From what I've researched i think I'm going to go with the Corsa Touring, I am actually going to be driving a c5 z with headers, hi flow cats and x pipe tomorrow with the pace car set up. My decision will be made tomorrow! I'm hoping the Corsa touring backed up with the hi flows and headers give off a mean bark when my foots in it!!!

Since you already have the x-pipe, I'd go with Corsa Xtremes. Been running them on my '03 Z for a couple of years now. Sound great at WOT and throatier at idle than either stock Ti or Corsa Pace Cars that I had on my '04 Z. They will NOT drone inside! Best of all worlds, and they're nearly as light as the Ti setup since the mufflers are much smaller.

You can buy them with or without the recommended x-pipe from Corsa.

Today i got a chance to drive a Auto c5 coupe with headers, hi flow cats, x pipe, Corsa pace, intake and tune. At start up it's loud for a few seconds, then idles right down to a little bit louder then full exhaust with the stock ti's. Under light acceleration you can hear the exhaust a little bit in the background,Not to noticeable. At cruising speed it's very quiet and NO DRONE!!. When you put your foot into it WOW does it come alive!!

Corsa pace is my choice, Thanks for the help guy's
